Conservative Party leader David Cameron has launched their Tory plans for tackling what the Tories term Britain’s crime crisis.
A three-stage solution has been proposed: in the short term, getting more police back on the street; in the medium, reforming schools and the criminal justice system; and in the long run, strengthening families and communities.
Announcing the policies, David Cameron said: "Britain’s crime crisis is just one part of the social breakdown we see around us. We can and will fight back." Read the speech in full:
