CCTV Entrepreneur

by msecadm4921

Mike Newton chief executive of Warrington-based CCTV manufacturer AD Group, and founder of Dedicated Micros, made the finals of the 2005 National Business Awards, in the Entrepreneur of the Year category.

Chair of Judges Philip Forrest said: “There were an impressive number of entries in the category this year and the quality has been outstanding. For Mike to be selected as a Finalist was a major achievement and in the end there was a very small margin between him and the eventual winner. What really stood out for the judges when shortlisting was Mike’s ability, over a sustained period of time, to come up with truly innovative CCTV solutions on the ground, in the air and on the move – many of which are landmarks in the industry – and bring these to market though his successful AD Group business.”

Mike’s recognition in The National Business Awards follows on from the ‘North West Entrepreneur of the Year 2005’ title awarded to him by EN magazine and his ranking by Management Today magazine (January 2005) as number one amongst the top 100 entrepreneurs in the UK.
