Control Panel

by msecadm4921

Visonic Ltd, manufacturer of home security and safety systems, has released the PowerMaxComplete wireless control panel with GPRS connectivity for the UK market.

It’s designed for residential and small office customers. The wireless security and personal safety product has communication, configuration and expansion options in a single, all-in-one modular wireless panel.

The firm says that with the advent of the IP revolution, consumers are increasingly disconnecting from standard PSTN telephone lines. Instead, they are moving to broadband-based Voice over IP (VoIP) or solely using their mobile phones. At the same time, central alarm stations are recognising IP and cellular communications due to their reliability and the opportunities they open to improve services.

PowerMaxComplete provides a solution for this evolving market by including a built-in PSTN communicator while offering internal, field-upgradeable GSM/GPRS or IP communications modules, as well as a range of accessories and expansion options. The ability to add internal communications modules ensures it is claimed reliability in the delivery of events to the alarm central station by facilitating internal redundancy of GPRS, GSM and SMS.

Kit

PowerMaxComplete is sold in a Quick Fit Kit format. This means that everything needed to install a small domestic or commercial system is included in one box with all the accessories pre-programmed and ready to installed, including an external wireless siren. A start guide helps the engineer focus on the key points needed to get the system up and running, including diagnostic checks for RF signal strengths and troubleshooting advice.

"At Visonic, we are committed to helping our customers answer varied and changing needs," said Tony Mann, Visonic UK Managing Director. "By providing a system as modular and flexible as the PowerMaxComplete, we enable distributors and installers to stay ahead of significant technological shifts such as fewer PSTN-connected homes. Packaged in a pre-programmed Quick Fit Kit format designed for quick and easy installation, PowerMaxComplete provides a professional and cost effective solution to today’s evolving wireless security needs.”
