The Fearless website and campaign offers guidance to young people about crime which could be impacting on their lives.

It also provides an opportunity for young people to report crime anonymously.?? The Cleveland Crimestoppers Youth Board, which includes volunteers studying at the University, was set up with help from Teesside University Volunteer Project Co-ordinator Jayne Villiers. It is the charity’s only UK Crimestoppers Youth Board.??As well as helping to launch the website, the youth board members also distributed leaflets across the community to promote the Crimestoppers charity, which has helped communities fight crime anonymously for over 21 years. Dave Hunter, Crimestoppers Regional Manager, said: ‘The Cleveland Youth Board is famous across the charity and is a fantastic example of the power of youths acting in a positive, and passionate way to fight crime.’??The Cleveland Crimestoppers Youth Board helped to launch the Fearless website and campaign in Middlesbrough to coincide with the national launch in London. ??Matt Wilk, Head of Youth at Crimestoppers, said: ‘One of the key reasons for re-launching Crimestoppers for young people is to empower them to be fearless in passing on information about crime anonymously, safe in the knowledge that their identity will never be revealed.’
