Croydon CSAS

by msecadm4921

The London Borough of Croydon has achieved Home Office Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) status.

Dermot Linehan, Neighbourhood Enforcement Officer Co-ordinator, said: “The council’s neighbourhood enforcement officers went the extra mile by undertaking training and study for exams to achieve accreditation under the community safety accreditation scheme. This has now won them additional powers to help them deal more effectively with anti-social behaviour.”

Training For Success report that their blended learning package was praised and readily accepted by the Metropolitan Police as fit for purpose.

Project leader Rob McHarg added: “We are pleased that all of the enforcement staff enjoyed the programme and passed the examinations that tested a number of key operational issues. We enjoy a strong relationship with both Croydon Council and the Metropolitan Police and look forward to supporting the Met with similar programmes throughout the capital.”
