The Bunker has commissioned additional power capacity for its data centre in Newbury and added a new data hall within the existing bunker.
The extra power will supply the expansion of further data floors within the Newbury bunker, meeting growing demand for fully managed and co-location space. The new data hall is built within the secure confines of the former nuclear Command and Control bunker.
Simon Neal, Director of Data Centre Services at The Bunker, said: “We are pleased with the completion of power upgrade in Newbury’s bunker and at the same time building a new data hall to support our expanding business. This further illustrates the continuous investment and development of our data centres. As London continues to run out of power, our out-of-London location and increased power makes The Bunker an obvious choice for organisations requiring carrier neutral, high power, ultra secure hosting to the West of London.’
Clients include financial services organisations, technology companies, government and other regulated businesses.
