Casimir Limited, a company managed by John Nicol, David Beech and David Newland, has acquired CCTV distributor Vision link (UK).
Chief Executive Nicol founded CCTV distributor Norbain in 1972 and took it to a full Stock Exchange listing before his exit in 1996. Nicol says: ‘There is a great opportunity for a well-run independent distribution company in the UK CCTV market, and our mission plan is to become the number two distributor by January 2005.’ Beech who has more than 20 years of industry experience has been appointed as Deputy Chief Executive and Sales and Marketing Director. The Chief Financial Officer is Newland who joins after a career with Vodafone.

Peter Ford and Brian Munday founded Vision link, and both will be staying on as part of the new management team. The company reports it is changing its name to Visionlink plus; there will be a new Northern sales office; a ‘significantly increasing head count’; and extended product range. Nicol sums up: ‘The management team is really excited by the opportunity to build on the great work of the Vision link team, to become a major force in the UK CCTV market.’
