Dome Upgrade

Videoswitch launch the new fully weather resistant CMOR Evolution dome. According to the manufacturers it’s featuring smoother, faster tracking with auto protocol, baud and address detection to eliminiate the need to set any DIP switches.

The company says that it has undertaken a significant upgrade to the CMOR Classic dome to create the CMOR Evolution. This puts the CMOR Evolution it’s claimed ahead of competing products in terms of smoothness of tracking, responsiveness, speed, reliability and weather resistance. Also featured are auto-protocol, auto-baud and auto-address. The CMOR Evolution is available ex-stock with or without built-in IR illumination and caters for all applications where a professional speed dome is required.

The CMOR is available with a variety of fixing options, including wall-mount, pendant, swan-neck, pole and ceiling mounts. There is also now an adaptor that allows third party and bespoke brackets with 63.5mm pcd 4-bolt fixings to be used. A safety strap is also supported.

Camera options include 18:1, 26:1 and 36:1 zoom, with single or dual cameras. Sony camera modules with quarter-inch CCD sensors are used throughout for ultimate performance.

The CMOR domes provide continuous 360-degree rotation with speeds up to 360 degrees per second with a resolution of 0.02 degrees. The 830nm IR illumination allows night-time surveillance over an area spanning 200m. Other features include 100 presets, 8 preset tours, 24 programmable privacy zones and both RS485 and up-the-coax telemetry. Up to 16 alarms are provided for in the power supply. Options include fully covert 940nm IR and paint colour options.

A reduction in the number of moving parts has also enabled Videoswitch to offer the CMOR Evolution at lower prices making it according to the firm a highly competitive solution in wide a variety of external and internal applications.
