Networks integrator Telindus with Abay-TS have won the video-surveillance project for monitoring a big part of the Walloon highways (the E40/E25/A25 roads and tunnels de Cointe). This project is thought to be the largest digital CCTV network in Belgium. The project has a total value of 2.25m euros, divided 65-35 between Telindus and Abay-TS. The latter are responsible for the passive components, mainly infrastructure works. Telindus is responsible for delivering the CCTV network based on Cisco equipment, Impath en/decoding equipement and a proprietary videomanagement application which will be developped by the PEC of Pierre Goublomme. The analogue cameras connected by Abay-TS are converted in digital MPEG-2 signal over an IP (Internet Protocol) network. Visit www.telindus.co.uk
