CCD, the consultancy specialising in user-centred design and the optimisation of environments, products and systems will be at this year’s Counter Terror Expo 2011 on April 19 and 20, at London’s Olympia.
The company will be demonstrating how human factors can be utilised to improve the usability of security technology, including multi-touch control systems. Human factors thinking is the company says increasingly being applied in the security and anti-terrorist sectors to reduce or eliminate the terrorist threat. CCD has recently been appointed by the Home Office to conduct research into a potential ‘Human Factors Testing Process’ for security screening measures.
The company will be showcasing 30 years of user-centred control room design. Visitors to the consultancy’s stand will be able to see examples of how CCD integrates interior and architectural design with ergonomics to deliver control room layouts for the emergency services, security, retail, transport and the energy markets.
CCD can be found at stand K29.
