IIPSEC 2008

by msecadm4921

IIPSEC 2008 runs from January 29 to 31 at the same venue: Stoneleigh, near Coventry.

Now in its sixth year, IIPSEC is a showcase for network-based security technology.

New for 2008, reports Kevin Fagan, Event Director: expanded technology areas including analytics, wireless and convergence, a larger education programme, and ‘how to’ seminar series. Organisers report that with the advent of digital video systems, the CCTV network infrastructure is being fundamentally changed and turned into an IT network with analytics at the edge and at the server that will allow all sensors to be combined and sent to responders for full situational awareness. Video event data can be combined with other sensor data to further reduce false alarms and to bring responders richer real-time situational awareness.

IIPSEC will be showcasing the latest developments with an education programme covering all aspects of the technology along with a showcase of products and speakers. The show has expanded its line up and now reaches far beyond pure IP, organisers add. IIPSEC features real business cases presented by the companies that have been there and delivered results. The education programme will uncover the full process, including the customers initial requirements and how these were met – and often surpassed. Each session is promoted into a specific vertical market ensuring a highly targeted audience. A seminar programme covering: transportation; commercial; retail; government; education; health; entertainment; and finance.
