by msecadm4921

The new physical intervention guidance affects you – insurers, operators of pubs and other venues, and security providers.

So say trainers Maybo and Weightmans Solicitors who invite you to attend a seminar explaining and discussing the new guidance. The morning event is at the Counting House, 50 Cornhill, London EC3B 3PD onThursday, June 14.

BIIAB, the awarding body for the licensed retail sector and Skills for Security, the skills and standards setting body for security, launched a good practice guide on physical interventions, featured in the May print issue of Professional Security Magazine.

The guidance was developed by a project group chaired by Maybo Director Bill Fox and is endorsed by the SIA and ACPO.

Organisers report that this seminar is designed to give managers the opportunity to: understand the implications of the new sector guidance; rview the practical implications for their businesses; benchmark to the guidance and identify any changes needed; explore violence risk reduction strategies; examine policy and contract issues; explore which training solutions are appropriate; and go away with an action list.
