Corporate manslaughter courses are running on April 23 and 30.
Organisers say:
After 10 years of waiting, last year finally saw the introduction of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act and it is widely anticipated that this year will see the first prosecutions under that act. Coupled with this is the introduction in January of this year of the Health and Safety Offences Act which will allow for company directors to be imprisoned for a breach of health and safety duties. Health Safety professionals are obviously at the front line when potential cases arise. Not only will they need to deal with the issues and possible investigations in a practical and efficient manner but they will also have to be fully conversed and confident as to what the new law means for their organisation’s board and directors.
