Ladies Tracked

by msecadm4921

Masternaut has won a contract with Pink Ladies, the newly launched ladies-only private hire service.

Masternaut’s GPS satellite navigation and GPRS communications are being fitted to the pink cars operated by Pink Ladies, to provide round the clock tracking and electronic job despatch via PDAs.

Pink Ladies provides a ladies only private hire service with uniformed drivers that are trained in first aid, self-defence and customer care.   Passengers, who are all female and members of an exclusive club, travel in pink Renault Kangoo with pink leather interiors. Launched in June 2005, Pink Ladies is expanding nationwide through franchises.

Masternaut gives Pink Ladies 24 hour control over operations with one minute updates on the movements of each vehicle. Using the contractor’s M-Schedule system, jobs are received on a driver’s dashboard mounted PDA that then provides turn-by-turn navigation to pick-up and drop off locations. Using Masternaut’s M-Messenger service, passengers can receive a two minute ETA text alert on their mobiles so they do not have to wait outside.

What they say

"If you take all the pre-conceptions that people have about taxis or private hire and turn them upside down, you have Pink Ladies," says Andrea Winders, co-founder of Pink Ladies.

"Masternaut adds extra security and safety and that is a crucial to the service we offer, but it is also a complete fleet control system so we can allocate nearest vehicles, despatch jobs, calculate pick up times and send text alerts. It is a great all in one solution and so easily accessible from anywhere via the web," added Tina Dutton, co-founder of the company.
