The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has launched nationwide workshops to help employers implement employment law changes, including TUPE.
One in ten organisations say that the statutory dispute resolution procedures have made tribunal hearings more complex, according to research from the institute.
To help organisations manage disputes effectively and prepare for legislative changes following the Government’s Employment Simplification Bill, the CIPD will be running Law on Tour, a nationwide tour of practical employment law workshops.
Mike Emmott, CIPD Employee Relations Adviser says: “Demand from HR professionals for information about employment law continues, reflecting the many recent legislative changes and European initiatives. It is vital that organisations adjust their business practices to bring them into line with the requirements of new laws, and ensure their employment policies and procedures are up to date.”
The CIPD workshops will concentrate on recent and forthcoming changes to the law, including the Employment Simplification Bill and the likely repeal of the current statutory dispute resolution procedures, immigration, redundancy, and changing contracts, including building flexibility and TUPE.
The Law on Tour workshops will run at:
