Installers using LED lighting to achieve sharper CCTV pictures, can also capitalise on the new opportunities available with multi-purpose RAYLUX Urban technology from Raytec, now available through distributor Norbain.
Providing an extra revenue stream, multi-purpose White-Light LED lighting can be used to improve site safety and security, providing lighting not just for cameras but for pedestrians too, the firms say. The provision of lighting provides it’s claimed opportunities for security installers to generate new business, asking existing clients and diversifying into new markets.
The supply of lighting is often a missed opportunity for security installers, it’s suggested, especially when considering that the same facilities managers responsible for CCTV systems, are also responsible for general lighting.
Products available through Norbain from lighting product company Raytec, allow security installers to target this cross-over market.
"To provide the best support, Raytec and Norbain can assist with specifying the best lighting for any project – no matter how diverse," says Vince Bessell, Norbain’s Business Development Manager – Raytec Illumination. "Norbain lighting experts can provide a free site survey and energy saving report, using the latest lighting design software to provide detailed plans that highlight the best possible lighting positions and illuminance levels."
