Risk firm Marsh has launched a new Major Loss Practice, for clients that have suffered a large financial or physical loss.
Based in London and led by David Pigot and Andrew King, the 35-strong team can, the London-based firm says, assess the potential impact of the loss on their clients ’behalf, and then advise on the appropriate claims management strategy. The service includes facilitation of financial recovery, for example, through recoverable fees.
What they say
David Pigot, Managing Director and Co Leader of the Major Loss Practice at Marsh said: “The Major Loss Practice is an exciting new addit ion to Marsh ’s client service offerings and brings together an extremely diverse range of skills and expertise from around the business globally. It is not always easy to pre-judge the ultimate impact of a potential loss, particularly if it is major in size,or complex in nature. By bringing in the major loss practice team as soon as an incident comes to light, clients can significantly boost their chances of limit ing the impact on their businesses, including any possible reputational damage.”
