Midlands Expo

by msecadm4921

The fifth crime prevention exhibition for Midlands businesses is again to be held in Leicester.

Crimex 07 Expo, sponsored this year by the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) and supported by the East Midlands Regional Business Crime Forum is organised between Leicestershire Constabulary and local private security companies, it includes displays of security equipment and advice to business owners and home owners alike.

PC Brian Voss, Crime Reduction Officer for Leicestershire Police, said: "Business is truly thriving here in Leicestershire and in the Midlands region. However, we cannot become complacent and we must continually challenge whether we are protecting ourselves, our colleagues and our customers. We all need to fight crime together and create a safer environment in which people can work and develop without fear of becoming a victim. This event will provide the opportunity to see the very latest security systems and equipment and also hear from security professionals and police crime reduction officers."

Andrew Hallam, Managing Director of Premier Security Services, based in Leicester, said: "This event is invaluable to businesses and organisations that are looking to review their security practices. As well as the business community, we are hoping to attract home owners and those responsible for security at non-domestic premises such as schools and colleges. I’d urge you to pay a visit to this year’s event. It won’t cost you anything, but it could prove financially and personally beneficial in the longer term."

Exhibitors will cover a range of issues from lone worker monitoring, distribution of goods, internal shrinkage, external theft, fraud, vandalism, asset tracking, to crime prevention and dealing with anti-social behaviour.

Crimex 07 Expo runs at its usual venue, Leicester City Football Club’s Walkers’ Stadium, Leicester, on Thursday, October 11, between 10am and 4pm. Admission for visitors is free. You can register on-line.

Exhibitors can also register online. A stand at this prestigious event costs £325 plus VAT.
