Securing the state is the title of a lecture by Sir David Omand GCB, former UK Security and Intelligence Co-ordinator.
It’s on September 8 for RUSI members only at the institute in Whitehall, London, SW1A 2ET. Briefly, Sir David will examine how secret intelligence helps government to deliver security, but also risks raising public concern over its methods. He will propose a set of ethical principles to guide intelligence and security work within the framework of human rights.
