Perimeter Detection

by msecadm4921

The GJD D-TECT 50 is a BS 8418 compliant movement detector that combines signal processing and optical systems which allow for the beam range to be programmed from 25 to 50 metres, thus avoiding boundary overspill, the makers claim.

This makes them particularly effective for perimeter detection, it is claimed.

These detectors have a resistance to false alarms and a high immunity to triggers from the sun, reflections and shadows to minimise the potential for false alarms, enabling security response centres to deal with genuine threats, according to the makers. They can be used to control CCTV cameras and also interface with GJD’s lighting control systems.

The adjustable pan (180-degree) and tilt (90 degree) electronics module, coupled with a mounting height of up to 6m, allows the view of D-TECT 50 sensor and the camera to be matched. Two Fresnel lenses can be adjusted to give up to 50m x 10m or 50m x 5m beam coverage and this adjustment can be made remotely via an optional key fob size remote control, a benefit for post installation adjustments, the makers say.

The robust zinc alloy case is an aesthetically pleasing modern design, available in a silver or gun metal finish, which is IP55 rated and fitted with front and rear tamper switches. Matching conduit cable adaptors are available for surface mount connections. GJD is a company that specialises in security devices such as motion detectors, lighting controllers, expansion boxes and enunciator modules.
