Pub Displays

by msecadm4921

SANYO’s new LCD Panels, available from distributor Norbain, are, the firms say, the UK’s first weather-resistant TV displays.

Suitable for pub courtyards and gardens, they are perfect for watching the big game outdoors and a solution to the recent no-smoking laws.

Also suitable for indoor use, a waterproof rating of IP56 makes them suitable for damp or humid conditions as well as environments with high levels of dust contaminants. A metal cabinet acting as extra security casing can be added to the panel, with a padlocked system to prevent theft. Toughened glass has also been used in the screens and they can be supplied with an optional movement-triggered alarm.

The screens offer video and data inputs, with a protective acrylic panel over the LCD; they can also disapate heat using a heatsync. This cooling system enables the displays to be sealed from external contaminants and avoid many of the maintenance issues associated with such hostile environments, the firms add.

TV, DVD or interactive data can be displayed, giving users the choice and flexibility to show whatever information they require.
