BT Redcare at IFSEC unveiled a new range of security products under its BT Redcare Agile banner.
The firm says that customers could save up to £50 a year on their phone bill with the new range because there are no call charges.
BT Redcare Agile gives the customer a choice of three options, Secure 2, Secure 3 and Secure IP, depending on the business risk and the technology the customer uses, but businesses are not tied down to a particular option, should their risk or technology change, Agile allows them to move between options as they need.
The new suite of security solutions meets industry security standards (ACPO, British and European) and like all of Redcare’s products is fully compliant with BT’s new 21CN network.
Even if the customer’s phone line has been cut, BT Redcare’s intelligent technology, dual signalling approach means a "confirmed activation" is still sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Both paths go through a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) and the Agile Titan digital communicator supports a variety of intruder-system interfaces, including dial capture and classic pin connection. The signalling service to ARCs runs over BT’s resilient Internet Protocol (IP) network.
Danny McInnes, general manager of BT Redcare, said: "This is security that gives peace of mind at a price that won’t break the bank. What you see is what you get and because there are no call charges, customers could save up to £50 a year.
"We believe BT Redcare Agile now offers the best and most cost effective protection in the market and gives customers more for their money than comparable products. And it’s flexible and future proofed so it’s easy to move between options to meet your changing needs."
