The Dallmeier electronic DLS 6 S1 is a six-channel recorder. The manufacturer reports it was developed for customers who requested systems for smaller projects. The DLS 6 S1-edition records at full PAL resolution (720 x 576 pixels) with motion detection control over each camera input. Its 80 GB hard disk provides capacity for up to 5,600 hours recording and the system has Kalagate and UVV-Kassen approval for evidential use. The product is supplied ready activated for either LAN or ISDN transmission and with a browser plug-in for ISDN, PSTN and LAN remote access. The unit also offers fast picture transmission and full remote operation via LAN/WAN using the optional PRemote software. Like other Dallmeier recorders it uses the Linux operating system which avoids unnecessary system crashes. The product is suitable, the makers say, for smaller scale monitoring applications.
