Among invited speakers at the second International Sports Security Summit are Giovani Pulice, head of security on TOROC, the organising committee for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, and  Vassilios Konstandinos, head of the Greek police security operation for the Athens Olympic Games.

The event runs in the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland on October 19 and 20. Other speakers include: Peter Ryan, the British head of security at Sydney 2000; Gilbert Felli Olympic Games Executive Director; Walter Gagg, Director of Security FIFA; Rory Steyn, Director of Security, Rushmans and Security Advisor to the Cricket World Cup; Ed Worthington Director, Office Mississippi Homeland Security; Nigel Rushman MD Rushmans Ltd; and Bob Nicholls Director Nicholls Steyn Ass.
 
The Cricket World Cup 2007 Security Directorate – the event is in the West Indies – will be visiting the ISSS, organisers report; and the members will invite presentations from companies in the fields of CCTV, Magnetometers, Command and Control Software, Radio Communications, and Training Companies with a view to awarding contracts, organisers Rushmans report.
