Terrorism: Emerging Threats and the UK Responses is the title of a March 15, 2011 conference at the Royal United Services Institute, Whitehall, London.
RUSI says that its 2011 terrorism conference examines the nature of new Terrorist threats to the UK security emerging from Yemen, the Horn of Africa, the resurgence in dissident Irish Republicanism and from the internet.
Organisers add that in light of recent developments to the UK’s National Security Strategy, the event will also deal with the nature and potential impact of these threats on the UK and will proceed to outline and assess the UK’s reponses to them, focusing in particular on changes to the Prevent workstream, the role of Development and International Aid, and the multiple uses of technology in countering the terrorist threat.
