Transport Security Expo 2011 is running at Olympia in west London on September 13 and 14.
The event covers aviation, maritime, supply chain, freight and cargo and public transport security, and the threats posed to passengers and cargo from international terrorism, theft, piracy, drug smuggling and immigration.
UK speakers include Ian Hutcheson, security director of BAA Airports Ltd the owner of airports; Mike Fazackerley, group security director, Manchester Airport; and from airlines, Ally Shearer, manager border security, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Andy Blackwell, head of security and resilience, at Virgin Atlantic Airways. Offering an outlook for global transport security will be Justin Crump, of Sibylline, and Hugo Rosemont, security policy adviser at defence and security sector trade body ADS. Overseas speakers include Steve Jackson, head of group security and facilitation at Qantas.
