Vigitron Inc has introduced its new VI1003 Miniature Video Balun for sending video signals over unshielded twisted pair wires up to 1,000 feet (330m).
The VI1003M?s compact size allows it to fit anywhere that a BNC can fit, the firm reports. It is suitable, according to the makers, for mounting inside virtually any camera housings without any additional cabling. It is compatible with all qualified cameras with built-in UTP transmitter. It uses category 2-5 twisted pair, easy to install, cost effective, and does not require power, says Vigitron. Its outstanding interference immunity ensures quality video images. The VI1003M can transport quality video up to 3,000 feet (1000m) when is used with Vigitron VI6000VR active UTP Receiver. Its built-in surge protection prevents damages to video equipment. The VI1003M is the newest video balun that will compliment Vigitron?s line of UTP transmission products that can transport video and data up to 6,000 feet.
