Based on the use of battery free, passive UHF transponders, the reader output allows the access control or parking system to open the gate when authorised without the need for card readers or PIN pads. A built-in LED provides visual feedback for the user that the tag has been read.
With a consistent reader distance up to 4m the new uPASS system is the makers say for commercial and residential parking installations such as car parks, gated communities, and employee parking access among applications. Its integrated fine-tuned antenna and elegant casing makes it suitable it’s claimed for outdoor and indoors.
The new uPASS Reach also complements Nedap AVI readers the TRANSIT, TRANSIT Entry and TRANSIT Edge.
