Voice Products

by msecadm4921

Speakerbus is working with Stratos Global Corp., the provider of mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions, to modify Speakerbus’ portfolio of netted voice products for use on Inmarsat mobile satellite systems.

Speakerbus, a specialist provider of mission critical intercom systems to the defence, security and financial sectors, signed a distribution and product development agreement with Stratos in May 2007. Under the agreement, Stratos will serve as the exclusive global distributor of those products for a three-year term. The modified products are expected to be commercially available by the end of this year. Stratos is the world’s largest distributor of Inmarsat mobile satellite systems.

Speakerbus providers netted voice products to the financial services industry. These products provide secure audio-conferencing capabilities to closed user groups with thousands of participants.

"Speakerbus is truly alone in its capability to meet the netted communications requirements of a wide range of industries. No competitor has a comparable solution," said Stratos President and CEO Jim Parm. "Adapting those products for use on the Inmarsat platform will help us address the needs of the military, homeland defense, first responder and maritime markets. In the future, we expect to have the same opportunity to work with Speakerbus to adapt its video portfolio to satellite, as well."

Speakerbus’ Managing Director Andy Wodhams said: "Stratos’ global sales and support network, and its success in a variety of critical markets, makes it an ideal partner for this venture. It allows us to expand our footprint in the military and civil security sectors where our products precisely meet their command and control requirements. We look forward to working with Stratos to demonstrate the ability of our netted voice products to operate on multiple mediums."
