Worcestershire Woman

by msecadm4921

A security business woman has been shortlisted for the Worcestershire Woman of the Year Awards.

Esther Ruggiero, who runs Train 4 Security with her husband, is among three candidates to be selected for the award, which will be announced on June 29.

The company, set up in 1999, now employs 23 people, with projected company turnover set for £500,000 this year. Esther is also studying for a degree in IT for Education and Training at University College Worcester. She combines this with looking after her three children – aged 14,11 and two – besides sitting on a local church committee which created the church’s website and previously acting as the secretary of a local business association in Droitwich, Worcestershire, where her and her family live.

Esther said : "I am absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award. Celebrating the achievements of women in the security industry is something I feel very strongly about and if I am successful, then I hope it would inspire other women to set up their own businesses within the sector. Even with the many demands upon me – a business, three children, a home, as well as studying for a degree – I feel I have proved it can be done and it can be done successfully!"
