Work For HP

by msecadm4921

Securex Security reports its international work is growing.

Last year the Birmingham-based contract event security firm provided security for Hewlett Packard at Tenerife and Malta, and this year has done Stuttgart and Paris (Disneyland) and will be going to Dubai and Barcelona in September. Director Garry Wardell explained that his staff provide access control and asset security for the HP’s product launches and conferences, attended by staff and journalists. Garry Wardell added: “In addition we are contractors to the BBC and provide services to the Mailbox [BBC’s new offices in central Birmingham] and also provide a 24-hour service to their news teams around the regions for filming unsafe areas.” The company also offers drivers for actors and other VIPs. Garry Wardell adds that the company is looking to move into manned guarding.

Garry Wardell was interviewed in the May 2005 print issue of Professional Security.
