Retail LP date

by Mark Rowe

Returning to London for its 14th year, Retail Risk – London is a loss prevention (LP) conference that brings together online and offline, inter-departmental decision makers and academics from around the world. This year’s conference features international LP people, some drawn from the region and others flown in from other major retail hubs, to share their experiences of emerging threats and how they are being dealt with.

The conference also includes exclusive material based on what’s claimed to be the biggest global research project undertaken in the retail loss prevention space, with 200 top retailers sharing what challenges they are facing, where they consider the biggest threats are coming from and what they intend to do about it; material that is huge significance to all major retail hubs such as London and cannot be obtained anywhere else.

Event founder Paul Bessant said: “In London, as elsewhere, retailers are working together to make sure that they stay ahead of the criminals, protecting their businesses and their customers. And this is essential as thousands of organised crime gangs around the world daily make attempts to defraud retailers and their customers out of millions of dollars.

No retailer can simply go it alone in fighting international crime. Our conference is designed to provide a unique platform for the exchange of ideas, to inspire LP executives and to help them beat the bad guys.”

The Retail Risk – London conference runs at the Novotel London West, in Hammersmith, pictured, on Thursday, April 21, 2016. The day is free to retailers, academics and law enforcement personnel including all presentations, workshops, refreshments and a hot lunch. Register now http://www.retailrisk.com/london-booking/.
