Chubb Systems has received a Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for a fourth consecutive year, while Chubb Fire & Security received the Gold Award for the first time, after its Silver Award in 2015.
RoSPA Gold Award winners are for those achieving a high level of performance while demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Mark Redding, head of EH&S, Chubb Fire & Security and Chubb Systems, accepted the awards. The RoSPA awards highlight Chubb’s commitment to occupational health and safety and recognise the extensive lengths Chubb goes to protect employees.
Redding said: “We ensure every Chubb employee is working in the safest of conditions, and our occupational health and safety approach is at the heart of everything we do. The two Gold Awards are a tribute to the value we place on employee welfare.”
RoSPA has been campaigning to prevent accidents, save lives and reduce injuries for 100 years. Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “To win an award at such a highly-regarded event as the RoSPA Awards is a great achievement for our winners. It recognises its commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to. We offer them our congratulations.
Its Occupational Health and Safety Awards this year took place at Safety & Health Expo 2016, London in June 2016. Pictured are Nichola Maher, Chubb Systems, and Mark Redding, head of EH&S, Chubb Fire & Security.
