The industry body the Institute of Hotel Security Management is running for a second year its Security Officer of the Year Award. The closing date for nominations is Thursday, October 1.
The IHSM says that the award will go to the security officer that has demonstrated the passion, innovation and consistent high standards to improve their department and hotel, whether through a challenging incident that the officer dealt with, or that officer’s work to improve the security department and to make himself stand out from the crowd. The winner gets a trophy (to be returned the following year); and a shield to keep, and a cheque for £250.
