Two of Interserve’s Meadowhall shopping centre team scooped ACE Stars ‘Achieving Customer Excellence’ awards in the British Council of Shopping Centres’ national finals.

Wayne Windle, Centre Supervisor and Marc Casson, Oasis Food Hall Assistant collected their awards on June 13, at a gala dinner at the Mercure Hotel, Manchester; having both received excellent reports in mystery shopper visits that formed part of the judging criteria.

Interserve delivers services to the centre including security, cleaning, reception and customer services, food court and waste management, landscaping and pest control. The 200 employees work across the 1.5 million square foot centre and support 25 million visitors a year.

The British Council of Shopping Centres ACE Awards are now in their seventh year; this is the second year running an Interserve employee at Meadowhall has been recognised for service.

Dawn Osborne, Head of Operations at Meadowhall added: “This is a great achievement especially considering the sheer volume of entries received this year from over 75 centres. We are very proud of Wayne and Marc, who have consistently demonstrated excellent customer service to become award finalists.”
