Morpho (Safran), the French provider of identification products, has been awarded a contract by the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen) to produce driver licenses and digital tachograph cards; the records of driving and rest times of truck and bus drivers. Sweden began issuing the new driver licenses in January and is set to start issuing the digital tachograph cards later this year.
Swedenโs redesigned driver licenses and digital tachograph cards will integrate Morphoโs latest security features to comply with new European Union standards and protect against document fraud.

Also Sweden has a criminal identification system from Morpho, which is being upgraded with the companyโs latest biometric recognition.
