iluminar Inc, the United States-based manufacturer and supplier of infrared (IR) and white light illuminators, reports that their License Plate Recognition camera has won the Security Products 2016 New Product of the Year Award in the ‘Analog Camera’ category.

The award, from Security Products magazine, a product and technology magazine covering the US security market, and securitytoday.com, honours the product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. A record-high number of entries was received in this eighth year of the independently juried contest.

Mrs Eddie Reynolds, President and CEO of Iluminar, said: “We’re delighted to have won this highly prestigious award. The all-in-one iluminar LPRS-32-24 camera is a very popular choice for License Plate Recognition applications. Its ability to capture plates at a distance of 32′ (10m) at speeds up to 35 mph and used with any VMS software, make it the ideal choice LPR applications.”
