FM gains

by Mark Rowe

The guarding contractor Ward Security reports a successful August, when the company has secured over £670,000 of extra business, and further increased its portfolio of work in the Facility Management (FM) sector.

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security says: “This increase is predominantly from existing clients and demonstrates their growth, which in turn assists our own development. With Facility Management companies needing to continually benchmark their approved contractors we are delighted that we are seen as an integral part of the service delivery for some of the best companies in the UK. Our clients understand the benefits of a true partnership approach to service excellence and the benefit of long-term relationships and we are proud to have successfully re-tendered three sizeable FM contracts during 2016, achieving ‘Preferred Supplier’ status.

“The Facility and Asset Management world is extremely fast-paced and the requirements of our clients can change daily, so embracing an approach and service that ensures we can always offer an effective solution is paramount. While we are a security company, we also consider ourselves experts in the many problems that can occur to a building or property portfolio. Our people not only understand the need to protect the physical asset but also the tenants, visitors and client reputation.”

Ward, an ACS Pacesetters firm, recently doubled the size of its London management team, increasing the firm says its presence in the capital. Ward Security remains one of the few Investor in People (Gold) employers in the sector and with a score of 167 out of 174 in an independent audit towards its Security Industry Authority (SIA) approved contractor status is placed within the top 2pc of all security companies.
