Canon at IFSEC

by msecadm4921

Canon at IFSEC (Hall 4, E40) will unveil a Full HD addition to its network camera range, the broadcast quality XU-80. A remote controlled Pan Tilt Zoom camera, the XU-80’s compact size, precision control and waterproof and dustproof construction make it suitable the makers say for indoor and outdoor applications, from border security to events.

The product produces Full HD (1920?1080) video, using a single one-third inch CMOS imaging sensor with 2.1 Megapixels. Together with a wide pan and tilt range and a Canon 20x optical HD zoom, the camera can closely monitor large areas, even in challenging environmental conditions.

The XU-80 has an IP55 enclosure rating and is waterproof and dustproof without any additional housing. A XU-80W version comes with a servo ND filter and wiper unit and can also be equipped with a washer as an option.

The camera also offers HD-SDI video and H.264 video over network for remote control and monitoring, via a third party video server. Any networked PC (whether on-site or at a different location) can view the HD video from the camera and access all of its control features using the supplied recording platform software.
