Canon Europe at IFSEC 2016

by Mark Rowe

Canon Europe will be joined by solution providers Digital Barriers, Ipsotek, and Intelico, at IFSEC International on stand F500, at London ExCel, from June 21 to 23, to demonstrate Canon’s lenses and how this delivers solutions for vertical industries. At the show, Canon will be showcasing its cameras’ low-light capabilities and will be launching eight new cameras.

Canon will demonstrate how its product range is suitable for a variety of applications, aimed at solving the monitoring and surveillance needs from a range of industry sectors. This will include the recently announced high-sensitivity VB-M50B network camera, which delivers in low light, particularly at the telephoto end, to provide clear and detailed images of distant objects. Solution providers at the Canon stand will also be showing their integrated solutions.

Julian Rutland, European NVS Marketing Director, Canon Europe says: “The security market today is advancing at a pace that requires manufacturers and partners to become more agile to the changing demands of end-users. Canon is committed to delivering superior video quality and we are incredibly proud of our ability to provide best-in-class solutions that respond to the demands of different vertical market segments. IFSEC International provides us with a great opportunity to unveil eight new high-sensitivity network cameras designed to address the high-performance, low-light capabilities our partners and customers have been asking for.”

The eight new Canon cameras being launched are for indoor and outdoor uses, including critical infrastructure, transportation, city surveillance and government use, the makers say. They feature wide angle of view, low light capabilities and faithful colour reproduction, enabling detailed images to be captured across different lighting. Integration with VMS platforms also provides business benefits beyond security, such as behaviour analytics and site management, the company adds.

Live working demonstration areas at the event will highlight:

· Low light performance and Clear IR Mode with the Canon VB-M50B
· Enhanced Digital Zoom capabilities
· Smart Shade Control (SSC)
· PTRZ remote camera configuration
· Accurate colour reproduction

Technical and channel development staff will be available on stand to meet with customers and system integrators and answer questions.
