IDIS channel man

by Mark Rowe

IDIS has appointed Martin Cowley as channel manager based at the IDIS European head offices in Brentford, west London.

Martin joins IDIS to focus on UK and pan-European distribution sales for DirectIP high-definition (HD) surveillance products. Martin will be responsible for leveraging and nurturing new and existing channel partnerships while developing the DirectIP channel-marketing program to add value for IDIS distribution partners.

Martin brings with him over 20 years’ experience in the security industry, particularly in CCTV, where he worked for Silent Witness. Relatively unknown outside of Canada in 2000, Martin developed the UK channel for Silent Witness contributing to an increase in turnover and the acquisition by Honeywell in 2005. Martin has also held sales management positions at Tecton, Cieffe and Grandeye as well as forming his own consultancy business.

Brian Song, Managing Director, IDIS, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Martin on-board with IFSEC nearly upon us. Our DirectIP solutions will provide the market what many have been waiting for – simple and affordable networked HD surveillance and Martin will play an instrumental part in our launch next week.”

Martin Cowley, Channel Manger, IDIS said: “I’m delighted to be joining IDIS when the incredible pre-show interest and demand in DirectIP™ are validations of the understanding and confidence in IDIS as a proven leader in surveillance solutions. I’m looking forward to introducing DirectIP™ during IFSEC and demonstrating the value we will deliver to our distribution partners.”

DirectIP from IDIS will launch at IFSEC, NEC Birmingham in Hall 5 Stand D30. For more information, e-mail [email protected].
