Transmission showcase at Intersec

by Mark Rowe

AMG, the British manufacturer of CCTV transmission solutions and 5 Megapixel cameras, will be showcasing their range of custom built, redundant transmission products designed for the oil and gas and security sectors at Intersec 2014, running from January 19 to 21 in Dubai, UAE.

Sara Bullock, Sales & Marketing Director of AMG Group, pictured, says: “We know from experience that the Oil & Gas sector tends to have very specific requirements and that each application is different. We have, therefore, invested in Research and Development specifically aimed for this sector, and the result is a range of flexible transmission solutions that can be easily tailored to meet the requirements in the Oil & Gas Industry. Specific options include dual optical redundancy, multi-protocol data/audio interfaces and hybrid products incorporating both analogue and Ethernet transmission within the same device. At Intersec we will showcase a number of products, including the new ruggedised, ‘Wonderbox’ range. This revolutionary product series not only provides Layer 2 Managed Ethernet functionality, but ‘bridges the gap’ between analogue and ‘IP’ technologies by supporting easy integration of low-speed serial data channels and alarm contacts, alongside video, onto an Ethernet backbone. This approach dramatically reduces hardware and infrastructure requirements. New to this year’s show is the AMG RM6000 series range of GPRS modems/routers which provide communications to remote devices over the GSM cellular network. They’re really the ideal solution for applications such as tank and water monitoring/control, bus information, VMS signs and general automation. Lastly we will – of course – also be demonstrating our range of 360 degree 5 Megapixel cameras under the AMG Panogenics brand.”

AMG Systems have used Intersec as their main showcasing platform to the global market over the past many years. This year, AMG is further collaborating with the distributor Norbain at the show, which means that PanoCam360 integrated with Milestone VMS software will be on show at Norbain’s stand S1-1116C.

AMG Systems will exhibit as part of the British Pavilion – and you can find them on Stand S1- 431C. For more about AMG’s products, or to set up a meeting appointment in advance, contact [email protected] or visit www.amgsystems.com
