Uniview at IFSEC 2015

by Mark Rowe

Among the exhibitors at IFSEC 2015 was the Chinese company Uniview. Pictured left to right on the company’s stand are Professional Security magazine editor Mark Rowe, and Jesstin Zhou, general manager, international business department.

He spoke of how Uniview – full name, Zhejiang Uniview Technologies – is a new brand for the UK, which is looking for distributors and partners; and for manufacturers, to provide OEM business. But, he added, the company will control the number of its partners in the UK to ensure quality.

He said Uniview’s strategy is to provide high quality products to customers. As shown on their IFSEC stand, products offered include 4k and H.265 cameras.

Uniview is in contact with distributors, but hasn’t settled on any; they would have to be strong enough to cover the whole UK, he added, including technical support and help for building the Uniview brand in the UK.

As for what’s new – Uniview was also an exhibitor at IFSEC in 2014 – the company has become a member of the US-based forum Onvif, for the integration of its products with third party platforms.

He stressed the ease of installation of the company’s cameras and network recorders.
