Orange Cyberdefense and Atos, through its technology brand Bull, have signed a strategic partnership to jointly take on the secure mobile terminal communications market. Under the agreement, Orange Cyberdefense will be selling Hoox, the most secure smartphone on the market, to its customers.

Orange Cyberdefense will be Atos privileged partner to offer secure communication services based on Hoox. The distribution contract will cover Europe, the Middle East and Africa (the EMEA zone). Bull, the technology brand of Atos, moves in as editor and supplier of the Hoox solution and its future developments. A solution for “Hoox App IOS and Android” app is already scheduled to be developed.

Michel Van Den Berghe, CEO at Orange Cyberdefense, says: “This agreement with a major industrial player such as Atos enables us to offer the market’s widest range of secure communications services. The partnership enhances our high-security services for mobile personnel exchanging sensitive information.”

And Pierre Barnabé, COO Big Data & Security at Atos, says: “We are proud to associate our company with Orange Cyberdefense and reap the benefits of its powerful sales network as one of the leading telecommunications operators in the world. This partnership will enable us to enhance our development in the market of secured communications.”

Separately, Morpho (Safran) and Orange Cyberdefense signed a partnership agreement concerning the development of a range of cybersecurity products and services. As part of this agreement, Orange Cyberdefense will market Morpho’s security and digital trust solutions, drawing on Morpho’s biometrics. Morpho, on the other hand, will promote Orange
Cyberdefense’s cybersecurity solutions.

Olivier Méaux, head of Morpho’s Digital Security and Authentication division, said: “We are already long-standing partners in the telecom sector, and we are now delighted to extend our collaboration with the Orange Group in the growing cybersecurity market. Through this agreement, we can pool our strengths in both France and international markets.”
