Cyber service

by Mark Rowe

Thales, the aerospace, space and defence and security company, has launched a Cyber and Consulting organisation. The firm says it will provide customers with consulting services in digital transformation and cybersecurity.

Thales is developing its own Consulting Academy for engineers alongside partnerships with British universities. Across the whole economy, there are the firm says shortfalls in the number of people needed in digital and cybersecurity engineering; not least as the demand in the private sector for those skills is intensifying. Hence, Thales is engaging with partners, aiming to foster the development of particular skillsets among graduates.

Gary Miller UK, Managing Director, Cyber Security and Consulting UK says: “Digital technology is transforming the way we live our lives, do business and share information. This new online environment brings with it unprecedented opportunity alongside increased risk for both public and private sector organisations. Our Cybersecurity and Consulting Services organisation addresses these challenges head on, providing customers with answers to multi-disciplinary, cross sector challenges posed by the connected world.”
