The 2022 ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards will run in person for the first time since 2019, at the pre-covid venue of Riverside Pavilion, Royal Windsor Racecourse, on May 25. The group of highest-scoring ACS firms has announced the day’s sponsors.
The awards reward front-line security staff who have carried out exceptional actions while on duty; making it an opportunity for members of Pacesetters to recognise and nominate their front-line Officers who have gone ‘above and beyond’ for their employer and the client. The sponsors are:
First Response Group Ltd
International Foundation for Protection Officers
MIT Benefits
Orka Works
Professional Security Magazine
Security & Vetting Solutions Ltd
SSAIB
TrackTik
Pacesetters encourages members to submit their nominations for the awards before the closing date of April 1.

About Pacesetters
The group is not to do with the Security Industry Authority; it’s based on the ACS scores published on the SIA website; from October 2021 companies audited for the scheme will require a score of +101 to place them in the top 15pc of all SIA ACS accredited contract security companies and make them eligible to join ACS Pacesetters. About 830 contract guarding companies have achieved ACS accreditation, making it as Pacesetters organisers say difficult for buyers of security services to differentiate between them. Hence the ACS Pacesetters places emphasis on the importance of the annual score, making the tender process for end users simpler.
In restricting membership of the ACS Pacesetters to the top 15pc of SIA approved security companies, about 125 firms are eligible to join.
