Approved contractor score hailed

by Mark Rowe

Ward Security has achieved a near perfect Approved Contractor Score (ACS) from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) after its annual assessment.

The SIA advised in its report that the Kent-based contractor’s ACS score of 169 from a maximum of 174 was a tribute to the professionalism and dedication of the management team as well as the efforts of the 511 employees.

David and Kevin Ward co-founded Ward Security in 2000. They said they were both keen to stress that improvements were being made to benefit the business and service it provided to their customers rather than chasing a high score. David Ward said: “It is important that we maintain a professional image and the ACS accreditation score is undoubtedly a very important benchmark for us. Our commitment to providing a total quality security service means we continually look for ways to improve our systems and processes, for example last year we incorporated leading edge technology into company systems to improve the service we delivered.

“We are very proud of the reputation we have quickly built as a leading national provider of security services and of the value driven culture we have embedded into our teams. I firmly believe our approach is why we are winning high profile contracts and competing with multi-national companies.”
