LeisureSec plc provides security services ranging from education to door supervision and from event security and taxi marshalling to risk management and conflict management training. The contract firm’s new app checks and records everything from every guard’s shift in real time, to his or her deployment, their movements, their incident reports – even their refused entry and warning logs. The app carries out automatic hourly SIA validity check of every guard’s licence to make sure they are valid to work.
For record keeping, the app stores data in real time and generates reports for internal planning and risk assessment, and for external evidence and audit.

He said: “Accurate compliance is important but time-consuming for our clients. This app is a no extra cost benefit that’s already proving popular.”
One client already using the app is Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council which operates a Taxi Marshal service run by LeisureSec. Taxi Marshals work with others in the town centre by night, including police, CCTV control room, street pastors, door staff, Pub Watch, resident groups and local businesses.

The main benefit noticed by customers is one of time saving; rather than compiling a number of faxed incident reports, our software allows the designated members of Council staff to see all incidents for each site immediately and this information can be incorporated into monthly reports to assist management meetings and training schedules.”
