Guard appointments

The Kent-based guarding companyWard Security has made two new appointments.The Rochester-based firm has appointed Christian Collier as Associate Director (Designate) Operations, while Carl Davies joins as Systems Supervisor.

 

 

Chris joins the company having recently retired from the Kent Police after serving 30 years. On his retirement, he had reached the rank of detective inspector and had received four Certificates of Merit and a Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. He will be responsible for managing the Operations Managers within Ward Security. He will be tasked with making sure that all client reporting methodologies and reports are produced in a timely manner and will identify areas of best practice. 

 

Similarly, he will also be responsible for producing action plans for remedial areas as and when necessary. Chris will form a link between the Operations Managers and senior management and will be actively involved in the strategic operational management.

 

Meanwhile, Carl joins as Systems Supervisor. With more than 20 years experience in the security industry, he will be responsible for overseeing system installations.

 

After a nine-year career in the armed forces, Carlworked on various roles from static guarding to the security management of passenger AMSA restricted ports, involving passenger, baggage and vehicle searching and ship security.

 

As a customer service manager, he was responsible for identifying areas of improvement. He subsequently qualified as a Port Facilities Security Officer, ensuring port facilities met Government legislation relating to security and terrorist threats.

Most recently, he had the role of site Data Controller responsible for site CCTV, including access control, CCTV operation, recording, backups and preparation of evidential footage for various agencies in accordance with codes of practice. 

 

“Within my new role at Ward Security, I am looking to enhance the great customer service already given by maintaining contact with customers,” he said. “This will involve visiting operational environments, conducting surveys to ensure best practices are maintained and ensuring we are giving the best service to our customers.”
