Shopping park contracts

by Mark Rowe

A three year contract with property development and investment company British Land to provide services at three shopping parks has gone to Incentive Facilities Management Ltd, the UK facilities management company. The FM contractor and the property company have worked together for over eight years.

Incentive FM will deliver cleaning and security at Broughton Shopping Park near Chester, pictured; and cleaning at Mostyn Champneys in Llandudno and Queens Shopping Park in Stafford. The three locations measure a combined 750,000 square foot, have parking for 4,000 cars, and are visited by more than 19 million visitors a year.

Incentive FM was awarded the contract following a competitive benchmarking exercise and will bring 21 new staff into the business under TUPE regulations.

Alan Barker, Centre Manager at British Land, said: “Incentive FM has a proven track record of consistently delivering exceptional services across several British Land sites and we are sure that this will be no different. More than 19 million visitors enjoy the shopping on offer at these three fantastic venues and we are confident that Incentive FM can contribute to a positive customer experience by maintaining a clean and safe environment.”

And Mark Stevens at Incentive Facilities Management Ltd, said: “It is always exciting to secure a contract with a company for the very first-time, however it doesn’t compare to the pride of sealing a further portfolio with a long-standing partner. Our attitude to hard work, providing world class solutions, and delivering a return on investment is our greatest strength – and it pays dividends. This latest win cements our position as the leading services provider to the retail sector.”
